President will crush group, says Lagos APC
The Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement (GHSM) has dismissed a call by political commentator, Reno Omokri, urging the South-West and the North to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
The South-West Coordinator of the GHSM, Abass Olaniyi, in a statement yesterday, described Omokri’s plea as “political deception,” stressing that the South-West would not reward what he called “monumental failure” with another mandate.
He said that governance should be judged by competence and results, and not ethnic sentiment.
But in a swift rebuttal, the Lagos State chapter of the APC described the GHSM as a “political cabal without credibility.”
Its spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, said the group was engaging in “theatrical politics” and had no electoral strength to challenge Tinubu.
Oladejo described Olawepo-Hashim as “a perennial aspirant and convenient mascot for opposition desperation,” insisting Tinubu’s administration was delivering results in infrastructure, agriculture, security and fiscal reforms.
