African Democratic Congress (ADC)
The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna state for the 2027 elections, Isa Ashiru, has pledged to provide good governance in the State, and deliver the citizens from the hands of undemocratic leadership.
He expressed his gratitude to all members of the party for their support during the just concluded ADC party’s Primaries.
Ashiru commended the leadership of the party for allowing true democratic process to take place before and during the primaries across the 255 electoral wards in the state.
While also saying that the affirmation of his candidacy by the Kaduna ADC as the duly elected winner at the gubernatorial primaries in Kaduna state was to set the record straight.
The gubernatorial candidate of the ADC, explained that the rancour free primaries of the party is a testament to the readiness of the party in Kaduna state, not only to provide good governance to the teeming population of the state, but to also strengthen democracy for the benefit of all and sundry.
Ashiru stated this in a statement issued on Wednesday, where he called for unity among all party stakeholders, saying “it is natural in any contest, such as the just concluded Primaries of the ADC, some would lose, while some would win, but that does not mean that, we must tear ourselves apart”.
According to him, “we have to work together as one big family to rescue Kaduna state from its current economic and security hardships.”
” It is on this note that I am genuinely calling on other aspirants to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship in the interest of the good people of Kaduna state”, he said.
Ashiru assured the party loyalists, members and followers of inclusiveness, adding that such action would foster internal cohesion and placed the party in a better position to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming 2027 general elections.
He stressed that “the primary goal of the ADC is to address deep-seated poverty, widespread hunger, insecurity, and to restore faith in Kaduna’s democratic institutions.”
He therefore called on Kaduna residents to unite and back his campaigns in the journey to rescue the state from maladministration.
