The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Basirat Oluwakemi Mayabikan, a councillor, who passed away on September 21, just 56 days after inauguration.

In a condolence visit to the Somolu Council Chairman, Lateef Ashimi, the delegation, which comprised the State Secretary, Dr. Adeola Jokomba; Legal Adviser, Folashade Bakare; Assistant Treasurer, Chief Sonola; and Financial Secretary, Asipa Doyin Banjo, commiserated with the council chairman and the entire community, urging them to find solace in the memories of her dedication, humility, and service to the people of Somolu Local Council during this difficult time.

The Lagos State Chief Whip Forum also joined in sympathising with the Somolu council chairman over the death of Mayabikan, who represented Ward F.

The leader of the Forum, Eric Eninla Otinwa, expressed deep sorrow over her sudden death, saying she was a dedicated public servant.
