The Ondo State Competition and Consumer Protection Agency (ODCCPA) has given businesses operating in the state a one-month grace period to complete mandatory registration.
The agency, in a notice issued by its Executive Chairman, Oluyemi Fasipe, on X on Thursday, said the registration was compulsory for all businesses operating within Ondo State.
According to the agency, “the registration is free of charge, and businesses that complete the process will receive an official ODCCPA Registration ID and Certificate.
“The one-month grace period was intended to give business owners sufficient time to comply before enforcement begins.”
It warned that businesses that fail to register after the expiration of the grace period could face sanctions and applicable fines in accordance with the law.
The agency urged business owners to take advantage of the grace period and complete their registration promptly.
It reiterated that the registration is “free and compulsory” for businesses operating in the state.
Businesses can complete the registration process online through the agency’s registration portal.
The agency said the exercise was part of efforts to strengthen consumer protection and ensure that businesses operating in Ondo State comply with relevant regulations.
