In a bid to harness the potential of the teeming youth population, the Office of the National Youth Leader, APC, Dr. Dayo Israel, has launched #COMMUNICODE2025, a virtual competition designed to challenge and empower young Nigerians by encouraging them to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems.
Themed: “Digital Economy & You”, the competition is for individuals aged 16 to 25 to pitch solutions that leverage the digital economy to address pressing daily challenges in their communities across various industries.
The top 10 winners will be selected based on the creativity, practicality, and potential impact of their proposed solutions by a panel of experts.
In a statement by Omobolanle Ladoja, Director, Strategic Communications and Digital Engagement, APC Youth Wing, the incentives are part of a broader commitment to investing in the nation’s youth and nurturing a new generation of digital leaders.
Ladoja explained that the grand prize winner will receive a cash prize of five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000), a brand new laptop, mentorship, and training sponsorship. The second-place winner will receive a cash prize of three hundred thousand Naira (N300,000), mentorship, and training sponsorship.
Ladoja further stated that the third-place winner will receive a cash prize of two hundred thousand Naira(200,000), mentorship, and training sponsorship.
“The digital economy is the future, and our youth are its architects, ” said Hon. Dayo Israel, the National Youth Leader. He added, “Through #COMMUNICODE, we are providing a tangible pathway for young innovators to not only showcase their talent but also to contribute to solving real-world challenges,” he noted.
He further said that by providing a platform for innovation and rewarding ingenuity, we are not just nurturing talent but also building a stronger, more resilient economy from the ground up”.
