Disturbed by the raging insecurity in the country, national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Musa Kwankwaso, has charged President Bola Tinubu to address the menace.
The former Minister of Defence urged the Federal Government to forcefully dislodge the criminals occupying ungoverned spaces if negotiation fails.
The presidential candidate of NNPP during the 2023 general elections gave the advice yesterday at the unveiling of the pioneer batch of Kano State Neighbourhood Watch.
Kwankwaso held that the military has the professional expertise to eradicate criminal tendencies in the country, but fears that Tinubu’s administration lacks the political will to combat insecurity.
He insisted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) administration must apologise to Nigerians for the “failure to end the insecurity and protect life and property, which is the primary responsibility of government.”
Kwankwaso further declared: “President Tinubu should rise up to the occasion and answer to the name of Commander-in-Chief to tackle the problems of insecurity ravaging the nation.”
According to him, the Nigerian military remains one of the gallant armed forces in Africa with a profound and proven track record of professionalism, demonstrated in several fields.
