Former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sunday Udeh-Okoye, has resigned from the party, citing the loss of its founding ideals.

In his resignation letter to the Agbogugu Ward Chairman in Awgu Local Government Area, he expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had during his time in the party, including serving in the Enugu State House of Assembly and as National Youth Leader.

Udeh-Okoye criticised the PDP for losing its principles of unity, justice, and equity, stating that it has deviated from its original mission as a champion of democratic governance in Nigeria.

Although he did not disclose his future political plans, he mentioned a desire to embark on a “progressive journey” focused on restoring democratic values.
