Armed bandits have reportedly kidnapped eight people on Tuesday in the Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The attack happened around 12:55 p.m. in the Fadama area, near the villages of Jangeru and Birnin Yero.
Local sources told Zagazola Makama the bandits came into the area and took eight people away.
According to the sources, seven other villagers and a member of the Jangeru-based Community Protection Guard (CPG) were also abducted.
“During the attack, the armed bandits abducted eight persons, including one member of the Community Protection Guard (CPG) attached to Jangeru and seven other villagers,” the statement said.
