Ethereum is trading at $2,665, flat over 24 hours, leaving it below the $2,700–$2,735 resistance band as our recent price prediction predicts. Aztec’s zk.money relaunch gives ETH a fresh privacy catalyst, but can a wallet launch move price without evidence of sustained usage? Zcash’s privacy activity adds context and is a useful test of whether the theme is drawing capital.

Aztec Labs relaunched zk.money yesterday, restoring a self-custodial wallet on Aztec Network after three years offline. Users can claim readable tags that resolve through ENS, then make stablecoin payments designed to conceal transaction amounts, balances, and recipients from public view.

As of now, deposits reportedly support DAI, USDC, and USDT, with funds converted to DAI inside the system; a reported $2,500 deposit cap limits near-term scale.

The launch announcement also cited zk.money’s earlier record of more than 75,000 wallets and $100 million in volume. That historical figure is not evidence of current adoption. A media embed of Aztec’s announcement and Joe Andrews’ privacy rationale captures the product’s central pitch: ordinary payments should not expose a user’s financial history.

For ETH, the market question is whether usage will translate into demand for Ethereum settlement and gas. Zcash’s rising shielded activity strengthens the narrative, but the price still needs confirmation at resistance.

Ethereum Price Prediction: Will ETH Reclaim $2,700?

ETH’s $2,665 spot price and a flat daily movement put it beneath the recent $2,700–$2,735 resistance area. The intraday range is $2,662–$2,689. A decisive volume-backed move would offer stronger confirmation than a thin push higher.

In an earlier technical snapshot, ETH traded above its 7-, 25-, and 99-period moving averages at $2,710, $2,693, and $2,680, respectively. Those levels are now above the live quote, so they are overhead reference points. The short-term setup has changed.

  • Bull case: ETH regains $2,700 and holds above $2,735, turning the former resistance band into support; that would improve the case for renewed upside, though no confirmed price target is available.
  • Base case: price consolidates below resistance while traders wait for adoption data from zk.money.
  • Bear case: continued failure to reclaim the band keeps momentum fragile, with the current intraday low at $2,662.59, the immediate level to monitor.

Privacy may sharpen Ethereum’s utility story, but the chart has to do its part. For a comparison of Ethereum’s utility-led catalysts, see this Ethereum price analysis.

LiquidChain Targets Early Mover Upside as Ethereum Tests Key Levels

Privacy-related activity is attracting attention, but the zk.money cap and ETH’s position below resistance temper the immediate upside case. Zcash reported 56% of transactions as shielded during the week, its highest share in at least two years, while its Network Upgrade 7 schedule offers another near-term catalyst.

The contrast is instructive: a strong narrative can travel quickly, but sustained usage and technical follow-through remain the harder tests. Zcash’s privacy data is one signal to watch; ZEC’s market narrative provides additional context.

For traders looking beyond a single network catalyst, LiquidChain ($LIQUID) is a Layer 3 project positioning itself as “The Cross-Chain Liquidity Layer.” Its proposition is to merge Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana liquidity into one execution environment, with developers deploying once to access all three ecosystems.

The presale price is $0.01496, and the total raised is $980K. Its feature set includes a Unified Liquidity Layer and Verifiable Settlement.

Research LiquidChain before the presale window ends.
