Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke has expressed confidence that some of the best players in the world are not faster than him, Soccernet.ng reports.

Ejuke joined Sevilla on a free transfer last year, and he has been trying to make his mark in a struggling side that has undergone several changes in recent years.

So far, he has contributed two goals and two assists in 38 appearances for Los Nervionenses.

While this is a poor return for a forward, goal involvements have not always been Ejuke’s stock in trade. He is rather known for his dribbling. In fact, he is already building a reputation as one of the best dribblers in the Spanish La Liga.

The Nigerian star appeared in an interview recently and was asked to compare his speed with some of the top players in the world.

When asked about players like Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka, Lamine Yamal, and Vinicius Jr., he noted that none of them were faster than him.

However, the only person he accepted that was faster than him was Real Madrid’s talismanic striker Kylian Mbappé.

Although there is no official ranking of the fastest players in the Laliga, Ejuke is actually very fast.

On EA FC 26, he has a pace rating of 90, an acceleration rating of 91, and a sprint speed of 89. This means that he is actually a fast player.

Nonetheless, in modern day football, you need way more than speed to soar. Although the 27-year-old winger is also a wicked dribbler, he has to become more decisive in the final third.

Ejuke has to start scoring goals and assisting if he really wants to make a mark in his career.
