National Commander of Man O’War in Nigeria, Adedamola Gbenga Emmanuel, has called for stronger collaboration between citizens, government, and security agencies to protect schools across the federation.

Emmanuel, who said insecurity remains a global challenge, urged Nigerians to treat security as a shared responsibility.

He spoke at an event in Abuja to mark his 45th birthday, observing that though insecurity remained a global challenge, he commended security agencies for their efforts, stressing that more needed to be done at the grassroots and community levels.

“We have identified a gap in the security architecture, which is the safety of schools, and we have taken up the challenge through our Safe Schools Initiative. We are in discussions with the government to integrate Man O’ War into this project, so we can provide security for schools and assist in intelligence gathering.”

Emmanuel, who is also the founder of the Centre for Peace and Community Repositioning, reflected on his journey at 45, describing it as both joyful and bittersweet in the absence of his late parents.
