Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen following ongoing contract issues with Vinicius Jr.
Soccernet.ng reports that Los Blancos may be forced to find a solution to their dressing room dilemma, with the potential signing of the Nigerian international seen as a key part of resolving the situation.
If the deal goes through, Osimhen could take the centre-forward role at Santiago Bernabéu. This would allow Kylian Mbappé return to his natural position on the left wing. This is expected to give overall balance to Real Madrid’s attack.

Mbappé has been deployed as a centre-forward at Real Madrid. Although, he is scoring goals, but the club are yet to trigger his full potential with his natural playing style.
Mbappé thrives on the left wing, where he can cut inside onto his stronger right foot, use his pace, and create scoring opportunities for himself and teammates.
With Osimhen at centre-forward, Mbappé would be able to return to his preferred left-wing position.
Currently, playing as a CF reduces his chance-creating opportunities, and places him under higher defensive pressure.
By taking the centre-forward role, Osimhen allows Mbappé to flourish in his natural spot, and potentially increase his goal output, assists, and overall attacking fluidity.

Former Juventus and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sunday Oliseh noted that the arrival of Mbappé created a positional conflict, and forced Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr to adapt. This, according to the former Super Eagles captain, contributed to his struggles this season.
“Los Blancos, in my opinion, have a Vinicius problem, and this problem is not the player’s fault,” Oliseh explained on his global football insight show. “Mbappé was brought in while they already had another world-class superstar in his natural position. One of them has had to adapt, and Vinicius is struggling while the manager himself has had clashes with him.”
