Victor Osimhen’s real transfer situation at Galatasaray has been revealed, following speculation that he could leave the club this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen’s future has been the subject of a lot of transfer talk over the past year. He joined the Cimbom from Napoli last year in a deal worth €75 million, and he has continued to string together brilliant performances for them.
In the just-concluded campaign, he contributed 22 goals and eight assists for Galatasaray. As a result, he has attracted interest from several top sides like Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

Although the 27-year-old recently announced that he loved Galatasaray and was unwilling to switch clubs, it has been the general belief that he would fancy playing for a traditional top club.
So, when Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle announced that Victor Osimhen had been ruled out of the upcoming international friendly games against Poland and Portugal, it raised eyebrows.

He said, “Concerning Victor Osimhen, he is an important player for Nigeria and Galatasaray. This period is off-season, when a lot of things happen off-the-pitch, and we must respect certain decisions that are not in our hands.”
His comments had a torpedo effect, as it was quickly assumed that the Nigerian was expecting a transfer. However, that might not be the case.
Victor Osimhen’s Transfer Situation Confirmed
Following Eric Chelle’s big statement and the effect it had, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano shared an update concerning Victor Osimhen.
According to Fabrizio, neither Osimhen nor Galatasaray are in talks with anyone for a transfer this summer.
The Super Eagles star also released a statement confirming that he is not in talks with anyone.

”I just spoke on the phone with Eric Chelle about the comments he made regarding me in his latest interview,” Osimhen said.
”Unfortunately, his words have been taken out of context and exaggerated. He has tremendous respect for Galatasaray, follows most of our matches, and had no intention of creating any controversy.
”I am grateful for this conversation and for the opportunity to always represent my country, and I look forward to continuing to work with him. He is a fantastic coach whom I respect greatly, and I ask everyone to disregard any speculation on this matter. Thank you for your support.”
Osimhen still has three years left on his Galatasaray contract, and since he earns way more than what most clubs in the top five leagues would be willing to pay, he is happy to stay in Istanbul.
