Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid have gotten a massive boost in their pursuit of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, following Manchester United’s decision, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old has scored 59 goals and provided 16 assists in 74 games for Galatasaray, putting him on the radar of top European clubs as they prepare for the 2026/2027 campaign.
The striker has reiterated several times that he’s very happy at Istanbul, but also admitted that he’s open to leaving if the right offer comes along.

Manchester United pull out of the race for Victor Osimhen
Soccernet.ng previously reported that the former Napoli striker was a dream target for Manchester United, who are looking to build a world-class team under Coach Michael Carrick.
The one-time UEFA Champions League winner took over from Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford in January, turning a dreadful spell around to help the Red Devils finish third on the English Premier League table, sealing a return to the UEFA Champions League.
Joshua Zirkzee and Benjamin Sesko were underwhelming for large parts of the 2025/2026 campaign, with Carrick often turning to Bryan Mbeumo to play as a striker.

That decision has led many to believe Osimhen is the man who can make Manchester United compete for the English Premier League title again. However, according to the Manchester Evening News, that ship has sailed.
The report stated that the financial fee it would take to secure Osimhen, combined with the huge wages he currently commands thanks to Turkey’s favourable tax system for high earners, makes the deal almost impossible.
Manchester United are desperate for attackers that would elevate their frontline, but the financial commitments it’ll take to sign the former Napoli striker is way past the threshold they are willing to part with.

PSG, Barcelona get massive boost
With Manchester United out of the way, other interested clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have a clear pathway to the pursuit of their target.
However, interest from the French side is set to dwindle after Ben Jacobs reported that Luis Enrique’s side are edging towards sealing a deal for highly-rated Ivorian winger Yan Diomande.

Barcelona, meanwhile, need a striker after parting ways with the aged Robert Lewandowski. They’ve seen multiple bids for Julian Alvarez rejected by Atletico Madrid, and it only feels natural to tend towards Osimhen as the summer progresses.
However, given their financial constraints, it’ll be hard for the Catalan giants to submit an offer that holds the capacity to convince Galatasaray to sanction a sale, except Victor Osimhen is actively pushing for the deal.
