Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen found the back of the net for Galatasaray in their 3-0 bashing of Rizespor, Soccernet.ng reports.

​Osimhen led the line for the Cimbom as they traveled to the Caykur Didi Stadyumu to take on Rizespor in their 21st Süper Lig game of the campaign.

​Despite being away from home, it was a match Galatasaray were expected to dominate, and they did so with total control from the opening whistle.

​Barış Alper Yılmaz opened the scoring for the Cimbom in the 19th minute, finishing off an assist from Noa Lang.

​Galatasaray doubled their lead in the 62nd minute, courtesy of Yunus Akgün, before wrapping up the scoring in the 73rd minute thanks to a clinical strike from Osimhen.

The Super Eagles star played the entire 90 minutes and he registered four shots, 41 touches, and three key passes.

​The match ended 3-0 in favor of the Istanbul giants, ensuring a six-point gap over their rivals, Fenerbahçe, at the summit of the Süper Lig table.

However, the Yellow Canaries still hold a game in hand against Gençlerbirliği, which will be played on Monday, February 9.

Just last week, Victor Osimhen scored his 50th goal for Galatasaray. But against Rizespor, he reached new heights.

His goal for the Cimbom took him to 52 strikes already. That ensured that he leapfrogged Bafetimbi Gomis to become the club’s all-time fourth-highest-scoring foreign player.

The top three players on the list are Mauro Icardi (73), Gheorghe Hagi (72), and Milan Baros (61).

With Osimhen’s quality and scoring frequency,.he will likely reach the first two positions by next season at most.
