Super Eagles and Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen could be on his way to the Premier League this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old faces uncertainty over his long-term future ahead of the summer transfer window after another outstanding campaign in Turkey and his performances have reportedly attracted attention from several European giants, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United.
Osimhen initially joined Galatasaray on loan in 2024 before the Turkish champions completed a permanent €75 million transfer the following summer. The Nigerian forward remains under contract until 2029, putting Galatasaray in a strong position to negotiate any deal.
The former Napoli star has enjoyed a remarkable spell in Turkey, scoring 59 goals in 74 appearances. He was also influential as Galatasaray secured a fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig title, scoring a brace in a 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor that confirmed the win and sealed his third trophy in two seasons.

Victor Osimhen: Manchester United monitoring Nigerian star
Osimhen’s uncertain future has sparked growing interest from several top clubs across Europe, with Manchester United reportedly emerging as one of the strongest contenders for his signature.
According to reports, the Nigerian international has become a “dream” transfer target for the Red Devils as they prepare for a major squad rebuild this summer, as they look to return to mount a serious challenge domestically next season.
Following their return to the UEFA Champions League, Manchester United are expected to invest heavily in the transfer market. Reports suggest the club could have as much as £300 million available to strengthen the squad as they look to challenge for major honours under head coach Michael Carrick.
A new centre-forward is believed to be one of the club’s priorities, particularly with uncertainty surrounding Joshua Zirkzee’s future. Should the Dutch striker depart, Benjamin Sesko would be left as the club’s only recognized senior striker, leaving room for another addition.
While they are also considering alternatives with the likes of Jean-Philippe Mateta, Dusan Vlahovic, and Robert Lewandowski also among their targets, Osimhen remains their preferred option.
“He still looks like the type of striker who could turn United into genuine title challengers. He brings pace, power, goals and presence, exactly what Old Trafford loves in a No. 9”, the report stated.
Manchester United have tracked Osimhen for several years, and club legend Paul Scholes has previously given his approval for a move for the Nigerian striker.
Deal not straightforward
Despite Manchester United’s strong interest, the financial details of a potential transfer could prove to be the biggest obstacle.
Galatasaray signed Osimhen permanently for €75 million and have previously revealed their desire to keep the Nigerian forward. However, reports suggest the Turkish champions could consider offers well above €100 million if he pushes for a transfer.
The Nigerian forward also earns around €20 million per year in Turkey, and his salary demands could increase further if he moves to the Premier League due to tax demands. Manchester United, however, have become very cautious with their wage structure in recent years and might be reluctant to offer excessive salary demands.
The former Napoli forward was close to joining Chelsea in the summer of 2024, but negotiations eventually collapsed over personal terms, although a deal could happen this time around to Manchester United if an agreement can be reached.
The opportunity of playing in the Premier League could be a major attraction for Osimhen, especially after achieving success in Italy and Turkey and a move to the Red Devils would provide the Nigerian forward with an opportunity to test himself in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
