Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen could return to action for his side’s clash against Liverpool tonight, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 26-year-old picked up an ankle injury in Nigeria’s clash against South Africa and has been out of action since then.
While he’s yet to return to full fitness, there’s a likelihood the former Napoli man will feature against Liverpool after Galatasaray head coach, Okan Buruk, mentioned Osimhen is still in a bit of pain.

Okan Buruk addressed the media at his pre-match press conference on Monday and revealed the latest on Osimhen’s chances of featuring against Liverpool.
“Today, we will see how he was in the last training session,” the Turkish manager said in quotes revealed by The Standard UK.
“Osimhen has continued training. It was positive for us that he played 10 minutes in the last game. We will look at his situation today and decide,” Buruk concluded.
If passed fit and named in the Galatasaray matchday squad, Osimhen may have to settle for a place on the bench once again due to the form of Mauro Icardi.
Still, he’s the best bet in attack for the Turkish Super Lig Champions to take advantage of Liverpool’s fragility at the back.
