Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen nicked an assist and a goal in their 4-0 victory over Kayserispor on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen was in the starting lineup for Galatasaray when they welcomed Kayserispor to Rams Park in their Turkish Super Lig fixture.
The Super Eagles star and his side were expected to claim a healthy win, given their quality and placement on the league table, and they lived up to the expectation.
Just seven minutes in, they jumped into the lead, courtesy of an own goal from Anthony Opoku. He attempted to block a cross from Burak Yilmaz, but he misqued his effort and sent the ball into his own net.
Osimhen got his first major chance in the 18th minute, as he took a shot from the middle of the box after a pass from Noa Lang. But he dragged his effort wide.
However, he soon got his name on the scoresheet. In the 26th minute, he converted a penalty to make it 2-0. They took that lead into the break.
In the second half, the Cimbom continued to dominate the fixture. But it was until the 60th minute that they scored their third. This time, it was Osimhen that turned creator. He set up Gabriel Sara with a fine pass, and the Brazilian sent a precise finish to make it 3-0.
Osimhen got 82 minutes of action, as he was taken off for Ahmed Kutucu in the 82nd minute. Mauro Icardi then wrapped up the scoring in stoppage time, with a goal from the penalty spot.
