Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu netted the opening goal to help Trabzonspor secure a 2-1 victory over Kasimpasa at Papara Park on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Following his return from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria, Onuachu began the match on the bench as Trabzonspor welcomed their Super Lig rivals.

In his absence, the home side lacked a clinical edge in the final third despite registering eight attempts on goal in the first half, they failed to find the back of the net.

In search of a breakthrough breakthrough, the manager introduced Onuachu at halftime, replacing Belgian forward Kazeem Olaigbe.

The 31-year-old marksman made an immediate impact, breaking the deadlock just six minutes after the restart with a moment of individual brilliance.

After latching onto a precise through ball from Inao Oulai, Onuachu unsettled his marker with clever footwork before rifling a low strike into the bottom-left corner.
