Super Eagles midfielder, Tochukwu Nnadi, will remain at Olympique de Marseille despite ongoing transfer speculation, with the Nigerian expected to be part of the club’s squad heading into pre-season, Soccernet.ng exclusively reports.

The 23-year-old, who only recently joined the Ligue 1 side on a long-term deal, is not currently in line for any summer departure as Marseille continues to shape their squad under new coach, Bruno Génésio.

Marseille transfer plan: Why Tochukwu Nnadi is not leaving this summer

Sources told Soccernet.ng that Marseille have no plans to sanction either a permanent transfer or a loan move for Nnadi at this stage, as the club prioritises squad depth in midfield following recent departures.

The club are understood to have already lost midfield options in recent changes to the squad—Bilal Nadir—increasing the importance of maintaining internal competition before making any further decisions in the market.

Nnadi, who is currently in Nigeria, is expected to return to France and report for pre-season, where he will be assessed by the new coaching staff. His performances in training and early pre-season games will play a key role in determining his role for the upcoming campaign.

While external interest has been noted, Marseille’s stance is not focused on immediate exits, with the midfielder viewed as part of the club’s long-term project.

A loan move has not been completely ruled out in the future, but it is not currently being considered as the club look to stabilise their midfield options ahead of a demanding season across domestic and European competitions.
