Former Ankaragücü defender and ex-Super Lig referee Erman Toroğlu has launched a stinging assessment of Fenerbahçe’s attacking trio, insisting they collectively fall short of the impact Victor Osimhen makes at Galatasaray, Soccernet.ng reports.

Toroğlu delivered his verdict moments after Fenerbahçe were held to a 1–1 draw away to Başakşehir in Week 15 of the Trendyol Süper Lig.

The 77-year-old Turkish football expert dismissed the contributions of Youssef En-Nesyri, Kerem Aktürkoğlu and Jhon Durán, arguing that their combined output does not match Galatasaray’s Nigerian star.

“En-Nesyri, Kerem and Jhon Durán… The three of them together don’t equal one Osimhen!” he declared on Ekol TV as per GZT.

The result, which saw Fenerbahçe briefly lead through Milan Skriniar’s 64th-minute header before Bertuğ Yıldırım levelled for the hosts, allowed league-leaders Galatasaray to move three points clear at the top.

Toroğlu’s comments came just 24 hours after Victor Osimhen delivered one of his most decisive displays in Galatasaray colours, scoring twice, including a 92nd-minute bicycle kick, in a thrilling 3–2 win over Samsunspor. The acrobatic finish has already been touted as an early contender for Goal of the Season.

Despite minor injury setbacks, Osimhen now has five goals in 10 league games, along with six goals in three Champions League appearances. The contrast with Fenerbahçe’s frontline is stark: Aktürkoğlu has one league goal, Durán has two, and En-Nesyri has seven.

Yet Toroğlu’s criticism extended beyond Fenerbahçe. He argued that even Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk and the club’s hierarchy have underperformed given the investment made.

“With this squad and the money spent, neither Galatasaray nor Okan is successful. The fact that Galatasaray are only three points ahead of Fenerbahçe shows the failure of both clubs. The gap should be at least six points,” he said.

More applause for Osimhen

Elsewhere, respected analyst Haluk Yürekli praised Osimhen’s late winner, describing it as potentially decisive in the title race.

“Victor Osimhen is a huge investment,” Yürekli said on YouTube channel 343 Digital via Habersarikirmizi.

“The goal he scored in the final minute of the match was truly extraordinary. Some goals are called ‘the harbinger of the championship.’ If Galatasaray wins the championship this year, Victor Osimhen’s last-minute goal will be absolutely crucial.”

Osimhen’s opener had earlier given Galatasaray a 2–0 cushion after combining neatly with Leroy Sané, before Samsunspor mounted a spirited comeback.

But the Nigerian’s stoppage-time brilliance secured all three points, offering a timely boost ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Monaco.
