Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has been informed that there is no way back for him at Ligue 1 club OGC Nice. This was confirmed by the club’s co-president, Maurice Cohen, during an interview on Tuesday.
This development brings a three-year association to an end—one that started brightly but deteriorated toward the finish. In 72 appearances for Les Aiglons, Moffi registered 24 goals and five assists.
With Nice confirming that the Nigerian marksman will not play for them next season despite having one year left on his contract, questions remain regarding where Moffi will ply his trade next.

The 26-year-old striker, who turns 27 next month, is currently at Porto, having joined them in January. However, he has failed to secure a regular starting spot, with most of his 14 appearances coming off the bench. Consequently, Porto seem unlikely to make his stay permanent.
In this article, Soccernet.ng explores five clubs that could move for Moffi this summer.
Five Clubs Terem Moffi Could Join In The Summer
1. Lens

Lens have been the surprise package of the season. They are currently challenging PSG for the Ligue 1 title, sitting in second place and trailing the champions by just four points.
Heading into next season, they will certainly need added firepower to compete simultaneously in the league and domestic cup competitions. Moffi is a logical option; he possesses extensive Ligue 1 experience and would likely be available at an affordable price point.
2. Fenerbahçe
The Yellow Canaries will be in the market for a new striker this summer, especially with Talisca expected to depart.
With European qualification guaranteed, Fenerbahçe will require a deeper squad to navigate a heavy fixture list. To reclaim the Süper Lig title and compete on the continent, they must replace outgoing players with proven quality. Moffi represents a budget-friendly opportunity, as he could potentially be snapped up for less than €10 million—a deal too good to ignore.
3. Marseille
Marseille should also be monitoring Moffi’s situation. Their talisman, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, will be 37 next season. While the Gabonese international’s contract expires at the end of next year, the club must prioritize a succession plan.
Moffi has been linked with Marseille in the past, and this summer presents a prime opportunity to sign him at a cut-price. Given his familiarity with the French game, he would arrive as a plug-and-play option with significant experience.
4. Lazio
Lazio are traditionally a powerhouse in Italy and perennial contenders for European football. However, they face a tough road to continental qualification this year unless they defeat Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia.
As the Biancocelesti look toward a resurgence next season, they will need physical, high-quality reinforcements. Moffi’s profile seems tailor-made for Italian football; he is rugged, possesses solid hold-up play, and links well with his teammates. Most importantly for Lazio, he is a cost-effective solution. On his day, Moffi has the quality to lead the line ahead of current options like Tijjani Noslin or Boulaye Dia.
5. Paris FC
The newly promoted Ligue 1 side should also have Moffi on their radar. The club has thrived by identifying established Ligue 1 talent and integrating them into a cohesive system.
Paris FC were heavily linked with Moffi in January but failed to get the deal over the line. Now that a transfer appears easier to facilitate, they are expected to revisit their interest in the Super Eagles star. Under a coach like Antoine Kombouaré, who has a reputation for maximizing the potential of his attackers, Moffi could rediscover his best form.
