The Rossoneri began their season in search of their first league title since the 2021/22 season and their first under former Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim.

Torino vs AC Milan: How it happened
AC Milan made a fast start to the clash, with Cisse having the first sight of goal, although his attempt went wide and hit the side netting.
Chukwueze, playing in his new right wing-back role under Amorim, then fired an effort after a mazy run, but Torino goalkeeper Diego Mascardi denied him. The first half ended goalless, with neither side able to break the deadlock.
Amorim then rang the changes, bringing on Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot as Milan looked to find a breakthrough.
The breakthrough finally arrived in the 64th minute when Rabiot found Cisse, who lashed the ball home to put Milan ahead.
Just three minutes later, the lead was doubled. Chukwueze produced a superb cross into the box, which Rabiot headed home to make it 2-0.
Torino grew into the game in search of an equaliser before Adams fired in a superb late goal to give the hosts hope. However, Milan held on to secure the victory and make a winning start to their campaign.
Super Eagles player rating: Chukwueze shines in new wing-back role
The Super Eagles star returned to AC Milan this summer after spending last season on loan at Fulham in the Premier League, and he continued to impress in his new right wing-back role.
The 27-year-old had already shown his ability in the position during Milan’s 4-2 pre-season friendly win over Manchester United and produced another influential display against Torino.
He played the full 90 minutes and created the most chances in the game, with four, while also registering one assist. Chukwueze also had the joint-most touches in the opposition box and won three of his five ground duels during an impressive outing.
His overall performance earned him an 8.3 rating from FotMob and he was also named the man of the match.
The Super Eagles forward will now be hoping to maintain his impressive form when AC Milan face Venezia in their next clash on Friday.
