Sevilla have taken a firm stance over the future of Super Eagles forward Akor Adams after rejecting an offer worth N16 billion (€10 million) for his services, Soccernet.ng reports.
Adams has been the subject of intense transfer speculation in recent weeks, with several clubs linked with a move for the Nigerian striker this summer.
The 26-year-old joined Los Nervionenses during the January transfer window in 2025. Although he needed time to adapt after arriving from Montpellier, Adams gradually established himself as one of Sevilla’s key players last season.
He scored 10 La Liga goals, with two of them proving to be match-winning strikes in Sevilla’s final four league games and his contributions played a crucial role in helping the club avoid relegation and retain their top-flight status.

His impressive performances have already attracted interest from multiple clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, including teams in the Premier League, France and Italy, while clubs from Saudi Arabia are also monitoring his situation.
Sevilla take firm stance on Akor Adams’ future
According to Mundo Deportivo, Sevilla have rejected an offer worth around €10 million from newly promoted Serie A side Venezia for Adams.
The Italian club emerged as the latest side to have shown interest in signing the Super Eagles forward as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the top flight. Venezia are keen to avoid an immediate return to Serie B and see Adams as one of their priority attacking targets.
They have also explored a move for Nigeria-eligible forward Gift Orban as part of their efforts to reinforce their squad for next season.
Although Sevilla are under financial pressure and are expected to sell players to raise funds for reinforcements in other areas, the Spanish club have rejected Venezia’s proposal because it falls well below their reported valuation of around €25 million.
Where could the Super Eagles star end up?
Despite seeing their opening bid rejected by Sevilla, Venezia are expected to return with an improved offer as they continue to view Adams as a key signing for next season.
The Nigerian forward’s experience at the highest level, combined with his work rate and goalscoring ability, has made him a top target ahead of the transfer window.
While Serie A remains a possible destination, French giants Olympique Marseille are also interested in the striker as they search for also look to strengthen their attack for next season
Marseille remain firmly in the race, while several Premier League clubs and teams from the Middle East are also keeping tabs on Adams.
The Super Eagles forward has expressed desire to remain at Sevilla, although he could be open to a move if the right offer comes. Meanwhile, Sevilla are willing to sanction a sale to ease their financial difficulties.
With clubs stepping up their pursuit, the Super Eagles forward could be set for another major move just over a year after arriving in Spain.
