Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemaechi has attracted fresh interest from Spain, with former champions Real Betis monitoring the Nigerian ahead of the January transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian international is currently with reigning Greek champions Olympiacos and has been a consistent squad player for them, featuring in the domestic league and the UEFA Champions League.
Last season, Onyemaechi featured in 25 games across all competitions. This season, he has already clocked six appearances for the Greek giants.

The 27-year-old left-back is known for his speed, defensive acumen, and willingness to push forward while supporting the backline. Although he is not a regular starter, he puts in a solid shift whenever he is on the pitch.
Despite his lack of regular game time, Onyemaechi appears to have suitors.

According to Ekrem Konur, the Super Eagles star has emerged as a potential target for Real Betis. The club is looking to reinforce its squad in the January transfer window due to its involvement in Europe, and Onyemaechi is an option it is seriously considering, although it is yet to make an official move.
Onyemaechi: How Much Will the Super Eagles Star Cost Real Betis?
Bruno Onyemaechi is valued at €2.5 million on Transfermarkt, but Olympiacos could demand up to €6.5 million to let the 27-year-old Nigerian left-back leave the club.
However, the Greek giants do not have much leverage in the negotiations, as Onyemaechi has just over 18 months left on his deal. By the end of this season, he will have just one year remaining, meaning that if they are unwilling to compromise, they risk losing him for free in the summer of 2028. This is the same player they paid €2.5 million for last year.
As of now, Betis have not made a bid. Still, Onyemaechi could be a decent addition for them. They currently sit third in La Liga with 16 points from their first seven games and have suffered just one loss this season, bolstered by a strong pedigree having won the Copa del Rey three times, most recently in 2022.
