Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has praised interim manager Michael Carrick, saying the former midfielder has already made a significant difference at the club.

According to a post by Fabrizio Romano on Monday, Shaw told Talksport that the biggest change Carrick has brought since taking charge is his deep understanding of the club.

“He’s made lots of differences. But for me, the biggest one is he knows the club, and he knows exactly what’s needed to win football matches, to make everyone happy and to enjoy what we’re doing,” Shaw said.

Shaw’s comments underline Carrick’s unique position at Manchester United. As a former player and long-serving coach, Carrick has a deep understanding of the club’s culture and expectations.

Under Carrick’s leadership, United have shown signs of improvement, and the squad appears more confident and focused.

Shaw believes Carrick’s knowledge of the club has helped the team return to the style and mentality expected at Old Trafford.

Since being appointed as United’s interim manager, Carrick has led the Red Devils to four straight wins, and the club currently sits fourth in the Premier League table.
