Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has emerged as a high-priority target for English Premier League clubs, including Fulham, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nwaiwu’s career has seen a meteoric rise over the last three years. Transitioning from Enyimba FC to Turkish giants Trabzonspor, he is now a focal point for a side actively challenging for the Süper Lig title.
The 22-year-old recently joined the Black Sea Storm from Austrian side Wolfsberger in a deal worth €6 million. Prior to that move, Nwaiwu was already a wanted man, linked with elite European clubs such as PSG, Bayer Leverkusen, and Leeds United.

Since arriving at the former Turkish champions, Nwaiwu has been nothing short of brilliant. He has featured in 16 games, contributing three goals and one assist from the back.
When he first arrived, Trabzonspor appeared to be fading from the title race; however, his introduction provided a vital spark.
Notably, he netted the winning goal against Galatasaray earlier this month—a victory that significantly bolstered the club’s standings.

Fulham Among Premier League Interested in Chibuike Nwaiwu
Despite his recent arrival in Turkey, Nwaiwu’s performances have already caught the eye of English scouts. According to Dik Futbol, Fulham is among the primary suitors. The Cottagers are known for their preference for physically imposing center-backs, and Nwaiwu fits that profile perfectly.
Fulham may intensify their pursuit if they secure a spot in European competition for next season, as a continental campaign would necessitate a deeper, more robust squad.

While Trabzonspor has yet to set an official asking price for the Super Eagles star, it is expected they will demand a fee in the region of €10–15 million.
For Nwaiwu, the allure of the Premier League is undeniable, and while he is currently settled in Turkey, a summer move remains a distinct possibility.
