The Adamawa State Police Command has called for public assistance in locating the family of Hamza Abdullahi, a boy estimated to be around 12 years old, who was found on Saturday, June 29, 2025, in Song Local Government Area of the state.
SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Police Public Relations Officer i n the state, in a statement shared on the official social media page of the command, said Hamza was discovered by a Good Samaritan near an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp in Song and taken to the Divisional Police Headquarters.
The boy identified himself as a resident of Dokoro Village in Dukku Local Government Area, Gombe State.
Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, expressed concern about what he described as parental negligence, noting that such lapses expose children to danger and exploitation.
The police are appealing to members of the public, especially residents of Gombe and Adamawa states, to assist in tracing the child’s parents or guardians.
