The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the alleged possession of three human skulls.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abeokuta, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, said the first suspect, a motorcycle rider identified as Kadir Owolabi, was intercepted during a routine stop-and-search operation by operatives of 71 PMF, Awa Ijebu, at about 2:00 p.m. on Monday.

The operation took place along the Ijebu Ode–Ibadan Expressway, near the Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu.

Odutola said a search of Owolabi’s luggage revealed three human skulls.

“Preliminary investigation subsequently led to the arrest of another suspect, Jamiu Yisa, aged 53, behind Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat,” she stated.

The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case for further investigation.

said the command would take decisive action against criminal activity and urged residents to support ongoing security efforts, assuring them of confidentiality and identity protection.
