The governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress in Kano State, Aminu Gwarzo, has congratulated the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday, describing him as a patriot committed to Nigeria’s progress.
In a statement issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Shuaibu, Gwarzo said Obi had continued to inspire millions of Nigerians through his commitment to good governance, accountability, honesty and selfless service.
According to him, Obi’s consistent advocacy for transparency, economic growth, quality education and national unity has earned him widespread respect across the country.
“Mr Obi’s strong support for transparency, economic growth, quality education and national unity has earned him the respect and admiration of Nigerians across the country,” Gwarzo said.
The former Deputy Governor of Kano State prayed for God to grant Obi good health, wisdom, strength and many more years of service to Nigeria.
He also urged Nigerians to support and vote for Obi and other NDC candidates in the forthcoming general elections, saying they would help build a more prosperous and united Nigeria where every citizen has equal opportunities to succeed.
