Gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey, has thanked pastor and founder of Streams of Joy International, Jerry Eze, for surprising him with a new car.

Bassey, in an Instagram post on Friday, said he had planned to have a quiet day of gratitude to God before discovering that Eze had been working with his wife to surprise him with the vehicle.

The singer said he was left “speechless” by the gesture, adding that Eze insisted on getting the best car after his wife suggested one for him.

According to Bassey, Eze told his wife, “my brother can’t drive that” while insisting on getting a better vehicle.

He wrote, “Normally I keep things like this private, but not this one. I want to share this.

“Woke up yesterday just desiring a nice easy day of gratitude to God. Unknown to me my brother and friend @realjerryeze had this holy coup ongoing with my wife.

“Of a truth the surpriser had been surprised. Still don’t know how to really express this in words.

“He insisted on going for the very best when my wife suggested one to get. In His words ‘my brother can’t drive that’.”

Bassey described Eze as a generous person, saying he knew of other similar surprises the pastor was planning for people.

He added, “Pastor Jerry, not only has he done this for me. I know of a couple of other ones like this he is currently planning. The man gives like his life depends on it.”

The singer publicly thanked Eze for the gesture and prayed that the joy he had brought to his family would return to him and his family in multiple folds.

He said, “And I’m here to publicly say thank you PJ (pastor Jerry) – You know even if you never do this, I’d still love you the same. Thank you Sir. Like I told you, I am speechless. May the smile you have put on my face and family been seen in multiple folds on you and yours in Jesus’ name.”

Bassey also urged his followers to join him in appreciating Eze for the surprise.

He wrote, “So please, help me thank him on my behalf. Weary him today with gratitude. Tell him his brother is grateful.”

In a subsequent post, Bassey shared a picture of himself with the new car and wrote, “This is how God through @realjerryeze made me feel yesterday – Speehless.

“Pastor Jerry thank you sir. Still stunned.”
