Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen faces an uncertain future at Galatasaray ahead of the summer transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old has been one of the most sought-after forwards in European football for several years, and interest in his services has only continued to grow since his move to the Turkish champions in 2024.
That attention is hardly surprising considering his remarkable form for Galatasaray. Osimhen has scored 59 goals in 74 appearances across two seasons and has helped them to win two league titles and a domestic cup during his time in Istanbul.

Several of Europe’s biggest clubs have been linked with the Nigerian international in recent weeks, including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid and reports have also suggested that Osimhen has emerged as a leading transfer target for Premier League giants Manchester United as they prepare to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
Atletico Madrid step up pursuit of Osimhen
Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has continued to demonstrate why he remains one of the most coveted strikers at the moment given his prolific record throughout his career.
According to reports from Spain via beIN Sports, Atletico Madrid have made enquiries about the availability of the Nigerian forward and are prepared to make a move should Julian Alvarez leave the club this summer.

Alvarez has been linked with a move to Barcelona, who are searching for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski following the veteran striker’s departure at the end of the season and are reportedly considering a bid for the Argentine forward.
Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Alvarez as they look to further strengthen their squad. Should the former Manchester City striker depart Atletico Madrid, Osimhen is reportedly viewed as a leading candidate to replace him as Diego Simeone’s side look to remain competitive on all fronts next season.
A move to Atletico Madrid would also see Osimhen reunite with fellow Nigerian international Ademola Lookman, who joined the Spanish club in a €35 million deal during the winter transfer window. The pair have already shown their quality together at international level, and Atletico could hope to replicate that partnership at club level.
Interest from other clubs could complicate a deal
While Galatasaray are keen to keep Osimhen beyond this summer, reports suggest the Turkish champions could demand a fee in excess of €100 million if the Nigerian forward pushes for a move away from the club, as they look to make a significant profit on the €75 million they paid to sign him permanently from Napoli last summer.
Although Atletico Madrid would be able to afford such a fee if Alvarez is sold to either Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain, reaching an agreement on Osimhen’s salary demands could prove another challenge.
Meanwhile, they will also face competition from several other clubs which may also complicate any potential move. Barcelona, despite their interest in Alvarez, have also been linked with Osimhen, while Real Madrid are reportedly in the market for a natural centre-forward and have also expressed desire to sign the 27-year-old.

Manchester United are also exploring a move for Osimhen following their return to the UEFA Champions League, with the English club expected to invest heavily in their squad during the transfer window.
Arsenal also have a long-term interest in the Super Eagles striker, while Paris Saint-Germain continue to monitor his situation.
With several of Europe’s elite clubs lining up for his signature and Galatasaray’s reluctance to sell, Osimhen’s future remains one of the biggest stories to watch as the summer transfer window approaches.
