Versatile Nigerian winger Ridwan Sanusi has completed a transfer to Slovakian club AS Trencin as the transfer window draws to a close, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 23-year-old has been constantly on the move since arriving in Europe in 2021, as he has played for five different Slovakian clubs – ŠKF Sereď, Slavoj Trebišov, FK Pohronie, FK Železiarne Podbrezová, and MŠK Žilina, whom he joined last year.
Sanusi spent last season on loan at Podbrezová, providing three assists in 25 appearances to help them secure a sixth-place finish in the Slovakian Niké Liga.

After returning to Žilina, it became evident that he was not in the club’s plans, as he was repeatedly left out of matchday squads. Now, due to his need for regular playing time, Sanusi has secured a loan move to AS Trencin that will keep him at the club until the end of next season.

With his contract at Žilina also expiring at the end of the campaign, AS Trencin could make the deal permanent if he performs well enough to earn a long-term offer.
Sanusi is a naturally right-footed player who normally operates on the right wing. Nonetheless, he is equally capable of playing as a midfielder or on the left flank. He is known for his pace, strength on the ball, and versatility.

Although he has yet to represent Nigeria at either age-grade or senior level, he will hope this move helps him establish consistent form and push his career forward.
AS Trencin, who finished eighth in the league last season and last lifted the title in 2016, will look to climb the table and challenge Slovan Bratislava’s seven-year domestic dominance.
