Super Eagles of Nigeria are back in action tonight as they battle DR Congo for a place in the Intercontinental World Cup playoffs, Soccernet.ng reports.

After a dramatic extra-time win over Gabon in the semifinals, the three-time African champions will be eager to take another decisive step toward the 2026 Mundial.

Eric Chelle’s men created a flurry of chances against Gabon and could have wrapped the game up in regulation time, but their wastefulness forced an extra 30 minutes before eventually powering to a 4–1 victory.

With confidence restored and all invited players fully fit—including Wilfred Ndidi, who has been cleared to feature—the Super Eagles head into this clash looking sharp.

DR Congo arrived in Rabat with equal determination, having stunned Cameroon with a last-minute winner from captain Chancel Mbemba.

DR Congo narrowly missed out on direct qualification after finishing just two points behind Senegal in their main qualifying group.

With their last World Cup appearance dating back to 1974, the Leopards will see tonight’s encounter as the gateway to rewriting history.
