Super Falcons of Nigeria defender Tosin Demehin has announced her departure from Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray, Soccernet.ng reports.
Demehin joined Galatasaray Women from French side Stade de Reims in 2024 on an initial one-year deal. Following the expiration of that contract, the Turkish outfit extended her stay.
While Demehin remained a regular fixture for the Cimbom, the team was unable to replicate the highs of their 2023/24 title-winning campaign.
The former Rivers Angels star has now called time on her spell in Turkey. Taking to Instagram, she shared her gratitude to the club:

“Thank you Galatasaray for an incredible chapter. It has been an honour to wear this badge and represent this great club. I leave with great respect, gratitude, pride and unforgettable memories. Wishing the club continued success.”
What Next for the Nigerian Star?
Following the announcement of her exit, Demehin is yet to reveal her next destination.
She recently featured at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where the Super Falcons were eliminated in the quarter-finals and missed out on qualification for the Women’s World Cup playoffs. In that competition, she got a red card in Nigeria’s second game against Zambia, but the Super Falcons survived and went on to win 1-0.
Despite that setback, Demehin’s defensive quality should attract strong interest. Known for her grit, aerial dominance, and pace, the centre-back remains a solid asset for top sides. With European leagues set to kick off in the coming weeks, the Nigerian international is expected to secure a new club shortly.
