Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has weighed in on the special relationship between his daughter and the fans of the Turkish club, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 27-year-old was seen dancing with his four-year-old, Hailey, after Galatasaray secured a narrow 1-0 win over Liverpool in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of sixteen.

At the start of the game, the Galatasaray fans had put up a tifo of Osimhen’s mother, and the striker bawled in tears after seeing their kind gesture.

The former Napoli forward suffered a forearm fracture seven minutes into the away leg against Liverpool at Anfield.

He was replaced by Leroy Sane as Arne Slot’s side cruised to a 4-0 victory, thumping Galatasaray out of the tournament.

Osimhen is required to have surgery on the arm, but has chosen to travel to Nigeria first before an eventual return to the hospital in Turkiye for his procedure.

Upon his return to his home, the former VFL Wolfsburg striker spoke about how much his daughter loves Galatasaray.

“When you enter the club [Galatasaray], you’ll realise that the way they treat players, mostly those who give their sweat for the badge, they show real love, within the club and fans all over the world,” Osimhen said on a livestream with Carter Efe.

“The moment I joined on loan, I could feel it. Even my daughter is more inclined to the club than I am. After training, we’ll do the club’s training and dance, and she does it a lot.

“After the loan, I had to go back to Napoli, but the way Gala treated me and my family was very good,” the 2023 CAF Player of the Year concluded.
