A woman claiming to be married to the brother of former Chelsea star John Mikel Obi, Tony Obi, has publicly demanded a divorce, Soccernet.ng reports.
The alleged wife of the brother of Mikel Obi accused the Obi family of long-term abuse in a viral social media video.
The woman, who identified herself as Diamond Princess Obi (also known as Diamond Princess Nweke Obi), made the claims in a nearly three-and-a-half-minute selfie video shared on Tuesday by the popular Nigerian blog Instablog9ja.

“My name is Diamond Princess Wanker Andrew Obi,” she said. “Even to call the name Obi is quite heavy because I really don’t want that name anymore.”
She added: “I’ve been seeking a divorce. Yes! I don’t wanna marry Tony Obi anymore… I’ve been through hell for the past 18 years and married to this family. The entire Obi Family have done evil to me including John Mikel Obi himself.”

The woman alleged that the most recent incident happened during a condolence visit for the late Chioma Obi — Mikel’s sister, where she and her children were reportedly pushed and publicly embarrassed.
“I have done nothing wrong to this entire family,” she said. “The level of hatred these people have for me is on comparison… They hate their own offspring. Like hate their own children.”
Viral video sparks mixed reactions online
She repeatedly called for “justice” and challenged the Obi family to explain her alleged wrongdoing publicly.
“Enough is enough… I want my name cleared. Everybody should go their separate ways,” she said.
She also warned other women: “No matter how much you love a man, if his family doesn’t love you, stay away from that relationship. You’re wasting your hell of a time.”
As of Tuesday, neither Tony Obi nor John Obi Mikel has responded to the allegations, which remain unverified and have not been linked to any known legal proceedings.
