It was a day of joy and significance for the Rotary Club of FESTAC Town as two of its committed members, Nkechiyere Maureen Agbah and Ositadimma Johnnie Ndibe, exchanged marital vows at the Holy Family Catholic Church in FESTAC Town, Lagos.

During the ceremony, Rev. Fr. Hillary Ogunyemi emphasised to the couple the importance of love and forgiveness in their union. He reminded them of the commitment they made to each other and advised them to always prioritise tolerance, forgiveness, and their faith, as they journey together as one.

Also, Rotary member, Vincent Iwueze, encouraged the couple to uphold the principles of the Rotary Four-Way Test in their marriage, as a means to foster truth, fairness, goodwill, and benefit for all involved.

Speaking with The Guardian, the marriage sponsor, Gabriel Amalu, noted that the occasion was unprecedented within Rotary circles. According to him, the marriage of the two members, who had joined club separately, was a unique blend of love and service that brought immense joy to everyone present.

In his remark, the groom, Ositadimma, expressed his gratitude to God, recalling how Rotary not only brought him and his wife together, but also laid the foundation for their new family.

Besides being a union between two individuals, the marriage symbolised a tribute to Rotary’s core principles of camaraderie, dedication to service, and unwavering integrity.

For the FESTAC Town Club, it stood as a proud testament to the harmonious convergence of love and selfless service.
