Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to sign Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, despite strong interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian international has been in sensational form since making a record-breaking €75 million switch from Napoli to Galatasaray in July 2025.

The deal that saw him move away from Napoli set a new transfer benchmark in Turkish football.

Osimhen’s Goal-Scoring Form Sparks Interest

Osimhen’s performances have made him one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe.

The 26-year-old has netted 46 goals in 52 matches for the Turkish giants, including a hat-trick against Ajax in the UEFA Champions League, which extended his incredible run of eight consecutive goal-scoring games in European competitions.

Sports Illustrated, citing Fanatik, Liverpool are currently in pole position to secure his services as manager Arne Slot looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of next season.

However, they face fierce competition. Manchester United and Chelsea are both monitoring the situation closely, while Barcelona have expressed admiration for the forward’s goal-scoring instinct.

Paris Saint-Germain Slaps ₦249 Billion On Osimhen

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to table a €150 million (approx. 249,225,000,000) bid to bring Osimhen to France. This figure could test Galatasaray’s resolve to keep their talisman.

Despite the mounting interest, Galatasaray are understood to have no intention of selling their star striker cheaply, and any deal would require a significant financial package.
