In a vibrant push towards inclusive economic transformation, the Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area in Lagos State on Wednesday convened a high-impact stakeholders consultative forum on sustainable economic development.

Organised by the office of the LCDA Chairman, Mrs. Adetola Abubakar, the forum provided a platform for residents to actively participate in shaping policies and initiatives that influence grassroots economic progress.

Speaking at the event, Abubakar emphasised the importance of active community participation in shaping policies and initiatives that will drive economic progress at the grassroots.

She noted that the forum was designed to provide an avenue for residents to contribute ideas and suggestions towards the preparation of the 2026 budget, ensuring inclusivity and transparency.

“The theme, ‘Budget of a New Dawn,’ reflects our commitment to a new era of development, where every voice counts and community priorities are central to planning and execution,” Abubakar said.

The consultative forum is part of the LCDA’s broader effort to engage residents in sustainable development projects, improve resource allocation, and enhance public awareness of government programmes aimed at fostering economic growth.

Stakeholders who attended the forum also discussed mechanisms for improving service delivery, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities for youth empowerment within the council area.
