The Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has reshuffled his cabinet with the nomination of two commissioner-designates and the appointment of a new agency head, along with several senior aides.
The governor forwarded the names of Alhaji Muhammad Sani-Ahmad and Alhaji Mannir Ayuba-Sullubawa to the Katsina State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners.
The development was announced on Monday in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed.
As part of the changes, Radda approved the appointment of Suleiman Namadi as the Managing Director of the Katsina State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency, the agency responsible for addressing environmental degradation and water management challenges in the state.
The governor also appointed Hajiya Jamila Salman, Alhaji Ibrahim Danjuma and Alhaji Muddasir Mati as Senior Special Assistants. In addition, Alhaji Musa Dankawu and Alhaji Abdulfatah Kafur were named Special Assistants.
Congratulating the appointees, Radda expressed confidence in their ability to contribute effectively to governance and drive development within their respective portfolios.
“I expect you to hit the ground running. This appointment is a call to service. Work with focus, deliver results and make the people proud,” the governor said.
He further directed the new officials to align with his administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda and fulfil the campaign promises made to the people of Katsina State.
