West Bromwich Albion have reached a club-to-club agreement with Levante for the transfer of 21-year-old winger Kareem Tunde, Soccernet.ng reports.
Tunde travelled to England on Tuesday for his medical as West Brom move closer to completing the deal. The Championship club have made the Nigeria-eligible winger one of their attacking targets as they push for promotion to the Premier League.
The agreement could cost West Brom up to £4.3m, according to Nostresport. The deal includes an initial £2.6m payment and as much as £1.7m in performance-related bonuses.

Tunde set for West Brom move
Levante have also negotiated a 20% to 25% sell-on clause. This would give the Spanish club a share of the profit if West Brom later sell Tunde for a higher fee.
One of the reported bonuses is linked to West Brom winning promotion to the Premier League. That condition gives the transfer a clear connection to the club’s push for a return to the top flight.
Tunde’s absence from Levante’s squad for their recent La Liga match against Osasuna also pointed to the move being close. The winger had made 21 La Liga appearances during his breakthrough 2025/26 campaign.
Born in Barcelona, Tunde is eligible to represent Spain and Nigeria. He developed at Barcelona’s La Masia academy before continuing his senior career with Levante.
His 2025/26 numbers show a player who still has room to grow in the final third. He scored no goals and recorded one assist in 21 league appearances, with 17 starts and four substitute appearances. He played 1,145 minutes.

Tunde attempted 16 shots, with four on target, and created four chances. His passing figures included 184 completed passes from 234 attempts, giving him a 78% completion rate. He also completed four dribbles. His work without the ball was stronger. Tunde won 11 of his 13 attempted tackles, made 10 interceptions and recorded eight clearances. He committed 14 fouls and was fouled 23 times. He received three yellow cards and no red cards.
West Brom manager James Morrison wants more options in wide areas, and Tunde can provide energy on the flank. His pressing and defensive work rate could fit the demands of Championship football, while improving his goals and assists will be a key part of his development.
West Brom have made a strong start to the 2026/27 Championship season. They sit second after two league matches, with wins against Norwich City and Burnley. They beat Norwich 2-1 away on 15 August before defeating Burnley 3-1 at The Hawthorns on eight days later. Isaac Price scored twice against Burnley, while Harry Whitwell also found the net. West Brom also opened their EFL Cup campaign with a 4-1 win away at Rotherham United on 8 August.
The club finished sixth in the 2025/26 Championship season after collecting 75 points from 46 matches. Their current start has strengthened hopes of a promotion challenge.
Tunde’s medical and the completion of the final paperwork are the next steps before West Brom can formally announce the transfer.
