Four people were injured yesterday when a Lexus Jeep collided with a tricycle along the Sagamu/Ikorodu Highway in Ogun State.
The crash involved a blue Lexus Jeep with registration number SMK298FP and a yellow tricycle with registration number JER122VC.
Spokesperson of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident in a statement issued in Abeokuta. He said the accident was caused by excessive speeding on the part of the Lexus driver, who lost control and rammed into the oncoming tricycle.
According to him, four out of the five passengers sustained injuries and were taken to Dasochrist Hospital.
Akinbiyi added that a towing truck had been contacted and the vehicles evacuated from the road to ease traffic flow.
