Super Falcons goalkeeping legend Precious Dede has shared joyful news that has touched many football fans across Nigeria and beyond, Soccernet.ng reports.
The former Nigeria international has announced the birth of her first children, a rare and beautiful set of quadruplets. After many years of waiting for motherhood following her marriage in a quiet ceremony, Dede revealed that she welcomed four babies at once: two boys and two girls.
The 46-year-old made the announcement on Instagram, posting a picture of herself while heavily pregnant alongside an emotional message of gratitude and faith.
She wrote: “After many years of waiting, God showed up in the most beautiful way—- FOUR precious blessings at once. Double the boys, double the girls, quadruple the joy.
“Our hearts are full beyond words. Years of prayers, tears, and hope… now turned into four miracles. God is faithful From waiting to overflowing… One pregnancy, Four heartbeats.. Endless joy .
“Proof that delay is not denial. He turned our waiting into wonders When God writes your story, He makes it beautiful in His time… God didn’t just answer….He overdelivered. Congratulations to my family.”

Precious Dede: A proud career with Nigeria
Precious Dede is widely respected as one of the finest goalkeepers to ever play for Nigeria women’s national football team, the Super Falcons.
Born in Lagos in January 1980, she enjoyed a long career that spanned more than a decade at international level, earning 99 caps for her country. Dede featured in several major tournaments, including multiple Women’s World Cups and three Olympic Games.
At club level, she played for top Nigerian sides such as Delta Queens FC, Rivers Angels FC and Bayelsa Queens FC. She also had a spell in Europe with Arna-Bjørnar in Norway.
Dede won the African Women’s Championship twice with Nigeria, in 2010 and 2014, before retiring fully from football in 2016. At the time, she was one of the longest-serving players in the national team.
