Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hürzeler has revealed the qualities he likes most about Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 25-year-old winger completed a move to the Seagulls on the summer transfer deadline day in a deal worth just over £15 million, joining the growing list of Nigerian players currently playing in the English Premier League.
However, Azeez was unavailable for Brighton’s game against Coventry City last weekend as he continues to recover from an injury he suffered while still at Millwall.
The 25-year-old picked up the injury in Lions’ opening league game of the season in the Championship in a 2-0 victory over Bristol City.

“Femi is obviously carrying a slight injury at the moment”, Hürzeler said ahead of the clash against Leeds United last weekend.
“With Femi, we have to wait this weekend, and hopefully he will be available for the next game [Coventry].”

The Super Eagles forward enjoyed an impressive 2025-26 campaign and came close to helping Millwall secure a return to the Premier League. Femi Azeez scored 11 goals and provided seven assists across all competitions as Millwall reached the Championship playoff semi-finals, where they were eventually beaten by Hull City.
His impressive performances were rewarded with a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season before he eventually sealed his move to Brighton.

Although Hürzeler remains uncertain about Azeez’s availability for Brighton’s next game against Coventry City, the German coach has already revealed some of the qualities that impressed him about the Nigerian winger.
“Femi’s a winger, he can score with the right and with the left foot. He has really good decision-making in the final third”, the Brighton coach revealed.
“He’s a hard worker. I’m really pleased with the transfer window.
“Of course, there have been a lot of changes. Now it’s about us integrating all the new players as quickly as possible and becoming a really strong unit, and that’s our responsibility now.”

Azeez will now be hoping to recover in time to make his Brighton debut when the Seagulls face newly promoted Coventry City in their next Premier League game on Sunday, where he could go up against fellow Super Eagles stars Taiwo Awoniyi and Frank Onyeka.
