In a significant development within the political landscape of Mbaise, Imo State, the apex socio-cultural organization, Ezuruezu Mbaise, has thrown its weight behind Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming Imo Elections.
The endorsement was made during a meeting convened on Tuesday, November 8th, where the group, under the leadership of its new President-General, Arc. Joe Anosike, expressed unwavering support for Senator Anyanwu’s candidacy, citing his exceptional qualities as a leader.
Senator Anyanwu, in his address to the gathering, conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Ezuruezu Mbaise and the entire Mbaise nation for their vote of confidence. He pledged his commitment to tackling the region’s pressing infrastructural challenges, with a vision to transform Mbaise into a vibrant tourist destination.
“I am fully dedicated to addressing the significant issues facing our state. Upon taking office on January 15th, Mbaise will be a top priority, and my administration will work tirelessly to enhance its appeal as a tourist hotspot,” Senator Anyanwu affirmed.
The distinguished political figure, who currently serves as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, also commended the group for their recognition of the Charter of Equity, emphasizing that it is now the turn of ‘Owerri Zone’ to produce the next Governor.
