Rangers head coach Danny Rohl has cleared the air regarding an altercation involving Super Eagles defender Emmanuel Fernandez and teammate Tochi Chukwuani, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Gers sealed a 6-3 win over Falkirk on Sunday, but it wasn’t a smooth sail against John McGlynn’s side.
Goals from Ben Broggio and Finn Yeats put Falkirk two goals up, and Fernandez felt Chukwuani was at fault for both goals. The Danish midfielder pulled one back before half-time, but the Nigerian was livid and aired his frustrations to Chukwuani on the pitch, even when they went down the tunnel.
While things got heated in the dressing room at half-time, Rohl chose not to get involved. Instead, the German manager loved what he saw.

Rangers boss speaks on Emmanuel Fernandez clash with Chukwuani
After the half-time break, Rangers changed gears and looked like a side ready to win the SPFL title this season.
A brace from Youssef Chermiti and another goal from Nicolas Raskin put the Blues in a comfortable position before Bojan Miovski turned up with another double.
“We were honest to each other at half-time. I especially liked that the players were also honest with each other, which helps,” the Rangers coach said about the clash between Fernandez and Chukwuani in quotes revealed by the Daily Record.

“I was able to give them some instructions and solutions. And in the second half, it was one direction.
“It wasn’t necessary for me to give too many emotions at half-time because the players themselves were emotional.
“They spoke to each other. That shows we’re growing as a group and we have leaders in the right moments.
“It was more important to give them my trust and make them believe in what we are doing.
“The other part was about what we had to adjust. We changed our pressing a little bit.
“We allowed the opponent too many long balls in behind. It was better in the second half.
“We were more hungry and front-footed which helps,” the former Sheffield Wednesday coach concluded.

Rangers win against Falkirk puts them just one point behind league leaders Hearts with five games left to play.
Chukwuani, meanwhile, is eligible to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The Danish defensive midfielder was born in Herlev to Igbo Nigerian parents.
