The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, has felicitated with Muslims across the country on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to uphold the values of discipline, self-denial, purity, sacrifice, and anti-corruption imbibed during the Ramadan period.

Olukoyede gave the charge in Abuja on Friday in his Sallah message to the nation, where he commended Muslim faithful for demonstrating strength and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah throughout the fasting period.

He encouraged them to sustain these virtues beyond the Ramadan season, noting that they are essential for personal growth and national development.

“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, let us continue to reverence the values of discipline, self-denial, purity, anti-corruption, and commitment to higher ideals of life which the Ramadan season truly imbued in us,” he said.

The EFCC boss stressed the importance of collective responsibility in building a better nation, adding that adherence to these principles would contribute to a corruption-free Nigeria.

“The best of us is what is good for the best of our nation. We will together make Nigeria better and corruption-free,” he added.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is Nigeria’s leading anti-corruption agency, tasked with investigating and prosecuting financial crimes.

Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of the Ramadan fasting period, a time when Muslims reflect on spiritual discipline and moral values.
