Super Eagles midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is on his way out of Inter Milan, as the club has agreed to sell him to one of their Serie A rivals, Soccernet.ng reports.
Akinsanmiro’s future has been uncertain since he returned to Inter at the end of last season. Recall that he spent last season at Pisa on loan, but he could not help them avoid relegation from the Italian top-flight, and they refused to sign him at the expiration of his loan despite having an €8 million buy option.
There has been a lot of speculation about the 21-year-old’s future in recent weeks. There was even talk that he could be headed to the German Bundesliga.
But now, it appears his future has been sorted, as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Akinsanmiro is close to joining Serie A club Monza.
The transfer will cost Monza €7.5 million (₦11.7 billion), but there will be a 10% sell-on clause included, which shows that Inter see him making a big move at some point.
With the details already agreed and sorted, Akinsanmiro could complete the transfer by the end of the week or next week at most.

Inter Milan signed Ebenezer Akinsanmiro from Remo Stars in 2024. Normally, deals like that hardly happen — from the NPFL to a big club like Inter — but it happened because of his immense promise.
However, since landing in Milan, his opportunities have been severely limited, forcing him to go on multiple loan spells at Sampdoria and Pisa.
This Monza move will give the 21-year-old the much-needed stability to plot and chart his career.
However, the tricky part is that the club just got promoted to the top-flight, so there is a good chance that they might get relegated this season.
Nonetheless, Akinsanmiro will be hoping to have quality players around him so they can mount a proper challenge next season.
