The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, has commended Hajia Hajara Abdullahi of Diso Quarters, Gwale Local Government Area of the state, for renovating and furnishing the Gwale Police Division in Kano metropolis.

The commissioner gave the commendation on Monday while presenting a letter of appreciation to Abdullahi in recognition of her philanthropic gesture towards the renovation and furnishing of the police division.

This was contained in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, on Tuesday.

“The gesture by Hajiya Hajara represents a significant contribution to community security. She has consistently supported various Police Divisions across the State with material and moral assistance aimed at improving the operational environment for officers and enhancing service delivery to the public,” the statement partly read.

Presenting the letter at the command headquarters, Bakori described Abdullahi as a rare gem and a true partner in policing.

He noted that her commitment to the safety and well-being of her community was unparalleled and served as a model of civic responsibility.

The commissioner prayed to Almighty Allah to replenish her wealth and reward her immeasurably for investing in the peace and security of Kano State.

“Such acts of generosity directly impact crime prevention, officer morale, and public confidence in the police,” the commissioner added.

In her remarks, the Special Adviser on Community Policing, Hajiya Maimuna Umar Sheriff, commended Hajiya Hajara for the gesture, describing it as worthy of emulation.

She said the donation demonstrated how citizens could complement government efforts to secure communities.

Sheriff called on other well-meaning individuals, corporate organisations and community leaders to emulate Hajiya Hajara’s example by contributing their quota towards making Kano safer and more peaceful.

“Sustainable security can only be achieved through collaboration between government, security agencies and the community,” she added.
